I noticed my iPhone has been looking up when my wife calls. The only thing I can think of is I had a pic taken of her and assigned to her profile so when she calls her face would popup. I deleted that picture however her profile pic remained there. I'm wondering if that is a possible bug with the iphone since really, the picture doesn't exist.

Any ideas? This is the second time its done this with her calliing.

Fine for me. I took a pic of the building I work at and have it come up when I call. As a test, I deleted it to see if it would stay as I wanted to keep my "camera roll" empty if possible. I expected it to no longer appear, but it does and works fine. Also, I never imported it to iPhoto so I know its gone fore sure. But still works fine, I just tried again. I have restarted also, still good. Corrupt image file?

I think it saves the picture to a secondary location when you assign it to a contact.

My phone behaves the same way, and I like it. I don't have to keep the pictures on my phone once I select a contact photo, makes things less cluttered :)

That said, my phone hasn't locked up once. ::knocks on wood::

That's not a bug at all. There is even a place in Address Book.app on your Mac to put a photo.

Imagine if you took pictures of all your contacts and assigned them then synced to iPhoto and deleted them from your phone and they no longer showed up to the contact assigned to. That'd be pretty silly.
