It’s rumored to be approximately the same size as the iPhone 8 Plus.
thats what I thought until you compare the dimensions... appears it is a bit longer and wider than 8 Plus......

LOL!! that doesn't give clear comparisons amongst phones I talk about... its clearly going to be a much shorter, fatter phone than Note 9..

9 to 5 Mac listed the measurements for the iPhone Xs Max:

So it’ll be a tiny bit smaller in terms of height and width than the 8 Plus which has the dimensions of 158.4mm x 78.1mm x 7.5mm.

I just realised, that they named it that way, because it's going to max out people's creditcard limit.

To me, it feels like fake info put out by Apple to identify leakers.

I like your logic here. Apple would do something like this to to perhaps draw out any type of potential insiders who will disseminate information or leaks about the iPhone or other products. Especially this time of year, I would be willing to believe that. Only because I think the term ‘Max’ is so ridiculous, it’s not even logical that Apple would use this name, which I would almost add ‘Pro’ to be in this same nonsensical title category for an iPhone.

iPhone XS Max Pro. Sounds like an energy drink and flu remedy combined.

“Max” might have been appropriate during the iMac G3 era with the bright colored plastics, but today? I agree it’s a ridiculous term today.

I think the probability of using “Max” is <20% but leakers might bite for an exclusive piece of news.

Only.. bigger 0.7 inch than iPhone X which is not a big deal. Look carefully and you can see the larger size is not that significant to iPhone X. It is a “little” larger . For those who claim “0.7” inch is a significant, they may want to check their reasoning and expertise on item measurement.

Look at the comparison picture, the XS plus is “not” significantly larger. To those who make a “larger” size a big deal, look the picture carefully emoji23]

In terms of volume, the 6.5" iPhone is 22% larger than the 5.8" iPhone.

You can't use a one-dimensional measurement and pretend it applies to a three-dimensional object.

I think what'll be popular model is one that has similar dimensions as the iPhone 8 Plus, but has a larger screen than the 5.5" 8 Plus, that seems like a win win. That's the one I'll most likely be interested in. OLED reserved for the largest screen size iPhone.
