Hello guys! this is my first post here and i decided to join because i couldn't find any solution to my iProblem.
I was using FW 1.1.4 jailbroken/activated/unlocked by ZiPhone because there is no official iPhone carrier in my country. (Greece that would be :))
So one day i thought that it would be nice to test out the 2.0 FW so i downloaded it via torrent. Rebooted into recovery mode and restored with the 2.0. Once the phone was booted i faced the known PSOD (Pink Screen Of Death).
I had read that if you face this you should command your phone to boot in normal mode through ZiPhone, so i did it, and it booted.
Everything seemed to work like a charm! After a while i realized that the phone would not connect to the cellular network. So i thought "oh its possible that the phone is not unlocked, so i ran ZiPhone with the setting to just unlock it. No effect... And i decided to downgrade back to 1.1.4. Opened up itunes and restored the phone. While the restore process was finishing it spitted up an error (something like 1064 or something simillar...) And this is the point where my adventure started. Right now my phone says its a 1.1.4 (but has more stuff in the "About" menu than before), is completely ZiPhoned, still no connection to cellular network and restoring with official apple FW from restore option in itunes gives back an error. Also my Modem FW is 04.05.01_G and under General Settings there is no "Carrier" option. Tried refurbish/iErase BL 3.9 Baseband/Downgrade 4.6 BL to 3.9 & Flash/Unlock 4.03 options in "Advanced tab" in ZiPhone, restored in DFU and Recovery modes but no success...
Any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated because i cant use my phone and i really need it. Thank you vv much, Acr

Got it! YEEE

Guyz i managed to fix the issue!
I commanded the phone to boot in normal mode (the one without cell network)
Opened installer, installed the iclarified (thanks guyz for your app!) Baseband eraser 1.2 (Cuz i thought at first that it might be a baseband issue since the baseband manages everything that is related to an antenna in the phone) restored with no error (!) and jailbreaked/unlocked/activated! Thanks again guys for the help and inspiration you gave me to think about this! :):):)

For the 2.0 update I believe you have to pay the $99 fee.

you dont need to pay you only pay to get help support and to ypload your apps to the future apps store from apple

What are you talking about? Of course you need to be a licensed developer to run the betas! You can pwn your phone and load a custom ipsw, theoretically. I've done it numerous times with my Touch. But with my new iPhone, I always get the PSOD  I think, though I haven't confirmed this, it might be because my iPhone isn't unlocked and my service is through AT&T. I guess I had thought that wouldn't matter, but I can't get past the PSOD. (I think I'll post a thread, actually!)
