Apple sets the prices each year when new models are introduced each year, but have they ever made price adjustments mid-year?

I realize currency rates can fluctuate either way.
The rate back in the fall of 2020 was $1 USD= $1.41 CAD
Currently it's more around the $1.26 rate.
So an iPhone 12 mini costs $979 CAD instead of $880.

I mean it would be great if it stayed this rate and the iPhone 13 would be effectively $100 cheaper.

Don't hold your breath. Apple does what is best for their bottom line. They have never done anything for the benefit of their consumers wallet. If anything I could see another price increase.

Yes, mid-cycle adjustments have been made in the past. But the drops have been small, around US$20.
