I have an iPhone 13 mini, got a brand new battery replaced directly from Apple a few months back. Had no problems, until updating to iOS 18 and now this phone will sometimes be hot to the touch even if sitting there unused for hours. It lags insanely bad, often takes upward of 45 seconds to open an app. In general use it overheats extremely quickly doing very minuscule tasks like browsing safari or texting. This is now the worst performing phone, or really, any piece of technology; that I've ever used in my life.

Anyone having similar issues? Anyone know how to troubleshoot this?

I have 13 mini as one of my many iPhones including the new 16 Pro, but I have zero issues with it. I only had one issue today with it while I was charging it and it got too hot so iOS decided to stop charging it until it cooled down. But it runs as smooth and cold as 16 Pro. I actually love the 13 mini more than 16 Pro due to it's size and weight.

13 Mini, on 18, cool as a cucumber. Only time it gets warm is when on CarPlay.

But then again, I'm not a big user of widgets, zero live activities, no social media apps.
