Seeing as the iPhone isn't the cheapest of devices…

I wonder if Apple has a less feature-laden phone in the works to complement the range (and I couldn't help proposing the idea here). Something that does everything a phone would be expected by the average user to do but nothing more, with the ease of an Apple product.

That's all. Discuss ^.^

Most likely...Apple works on tons of stuff. Not all of it sees the light of day, but its their.

I'm willing to bet Apple has atleast worked on an iPhone Mini....how far a long it is, or if they are even working on it currently is another issue.

besides size. What would you take away from it to make it mini. With the ipods had a a much smaller HDD.
I could see maybe a phone and ipod but not the internet/mail, g-maps stuff...

I'd guess they'd drop things like that (Wi-Fi, Safari, Mail, Google Maps), wait for iPhone to jump up in flash storage, so it could a 2GB or 4Gb flash drive...maybe things like Notes, Stocks and Weather too

I would definitely buy an iPhone Mini. The iPhone is just to big.

But then, wasn't the idea of Steve Jobs to make a cell-phone that kind of replaces your Mac when you are on the move (unable to have your Mac with you)?

If you're House I'll have to believe you.

The iPhone mini wouldn't have to be iPod mini sized, but I'd enjoy having a little of the size shaved off (perhaps if it was a more conventional phone they could play with the form factor more also…)

Having not seen the iPhone in person (obviously) I still think the size is perfect.

But, my opinion could change on the 29th. Assuming I'm able to get one!
