I've tried Phone mirroring, which seems cool. I tried making a phone call but it just says "call failed".

Dailing works from the phone of course.

Is this expected behaviour? No phone calls?

I've updated my iPhone to iOS 18.

Same here, I can call using the FaceTime method and selecting a number in my mac's contact list etc, but iPhone mirroring results in "call failed"

Using MBA, iPhone, both with latest updates. Getting same issue described in other comments. Tried disabling VPN, virus protection, airplay and sidecar. Logged into same wifi network, bluetooth on, not screen sharing to any devices, AirPods not connected. Even noticed I was in do not disturb mode and switched to focus mode. The only think I didn't try is doing all these steps during day time. How to get this 'feature' to work? Or did Apple give the ultimate "MacRumor" by showing this feature works when it doesn't?
