Hi

iPhone Mirroring: Signal Desktop Client soon not needed anymore (file transfer not yet working)? Do I understand correctly?

I can purge Signal Desktop (https://formulae.brew.sh/cask/signal) on my macOS soon? I wish less software installed on Desktop.

Do I understand correctly?

Thanks

I always prefer to have native apps on my desktop and only use iPhone Mirroring if absolutely necessary. It's still way better to have a native app that you can resize, and also it doesn't keep your iPhone busy all the time (battery drain, and also you cannot use the phone to do anything else in the meantime, like taking pictures, as it will interrupt the mirroring session).

So for me iPhone Mirroring is nice to have, but it won't replace my desktop apps for sure. I have hundreds of apps on my Mac and it's a device made to be used, so why not leave Signal installed? You have no benefit by removing Signal, except saving 400 MB of disk space, which is "nothing".
