what settings should I use with handbrake or another movie conversion program?

im wondering the same thing. also with using these programs can the size be reduced? because the iTunes movies are big, like 1.07 gb. also can i use iTunes movies to convert to a smaller size?

Many people just use the iPod preset built into recent version of Handbrake. You can adjust the video to 480x320 as that's iPhone's screen. I use the iPod preset and drop the average bit rate down to save space.
