I was wondering if anyone knows of any games that have multiplayer aspects that don't require the people to be on the same network to play. Do games like that even exist?

Example: A friend and I want to play a racing game or rpg together but he lives in a different town then me.

If you like poker there are lots of options. Texas Poker is my favorite.

"Words With Friends" is pretty popular. iOS - iOS or iOS - Android too. "Wordfued" is also a good one.

Archetype
- prob the best FPS game.

Skies of Glory - really the best WW2 flight sim game and you can battle in teams with up to 10 players. Video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0wERkQ0-22c

Your multiplayer racing comes down to these two options:

Real Racing 2 - Prob the most realistic racing game.

Asphalt 6 - Not realistic at all, but fun to play.
