Hello folks,
Just switched over to iPhone 6+ after my awesome Sony Xperia Z3v bit the dust. Did some searching on the net for some of these items but could use some confirmation from the Best and Brightest on here:

-Is there a way to minimize an incoming call and go back to my web browsing/email while it rings in the background (don't want to be impolite and send immediately to voicemail)? Right now, I have to wait until the entire ring sequence completes before resuming my browsing...

-...on that same note, why isn't there an option to dismiss the call when the screen is locked?

-Are there any fixes for the microphone sometimes not working when I answer a call?

-Does anyone use Google Chrome? Are you having any force closes or crashing on this phone? I like Chrome way more than Safari but it seems there are problems when the iPhone runs it (memory?)

-Is there a way to delete the unwanted Playlists that are in the music app? I won't need "Classical Music" but I have no way to remove it.

-Is it really gonna take over 2 weeks to get a traffic notification? i've had this thing about 3 weeks and have set up everything according to online guides and nada so far.

This new OS on the phone is an adjustment, but I must say the fingerprint authorization and the integration/backup capabilities with my MacBook Pro are top notch and impressive!

Jailbreak. Install Callbar. Stock, there is no other way. BTW, you can press one of the volume buttons or the power button to at least silence the noise. Doing that will not send the caller directly to voicemail.

No idea. I usually just silence the ringer with the power button (which turns the screen off) and put the phone down.

Could be a hardware issue or a coverage (your carrier) issue.

I don't use Chrome, so IDK. I use Dolphin. Might be worth your time to check Dolphin out. It's free.

You have to sync with iTunes and tell it to sync the playlists. If the playlist is in iTunes, you'll have to delete it first.

This one I cannot help with.

Apple makes their latest products work neatly together. I hate having to use iTunes to sync though. One advantage to being jailbroken.

Thanks a lot eyoungren. I'm not sure if I'll jailbreak this thing. I didn't even root my Sony as it was almost perfect (no simultaneous voice, data hence the iPhone). Just thought these basic items would've been generally standard on any phone. Much appreciated.

Well…let's just say that there is a lot that people coming from Android or WinMo think is normal that with Apple really isn't

For instance, where's the notification LED?

Apple has a tendency to think it's way is the easiest and best and imposes that method on it's iOS device customers. This is why jailbreaking is still as popular as it is.

You know, now that you mention it, yeah...i miss the notification light, too! I've failed to respond to several texts in a timely manner or missed them entirely as i can't tell at a glance. Even more than that, I miss just having the outside temp in the status bar or on the lock screen for quick reference. I don't know, maybe I'll need to look into this jail break thing.... Not sure how this OS is so highly regarded with these limitations...

Well, some of the fundamentals have not changed over the years. A lot of features have been added, some of them taken from jailbreakers. I happen to be more a fan of iOS 6 than anything else, but the iPhone I have came with iOS 8. Unfortunately, because Apple fights jailbreaking and wants most of it's customers on the same version of iOS they make it impossible to downgrade once you have upgraded.

Overall, I love the iPhone. But I do jailbreak to get around the restrictions Apple puts on me.

Attached are the two screens on my lockscreen. Normal and forecast. Provided by the Forecast tweak and quite a few others.

The last one is my main homescreen.

Thanks a lot! That looks fantastic. I will investigate...

When it is locked and you recieve a call you can press the top lock button twice to stop it.

That sends it to voicemail right away, which seems to be what the OP is trying to avoid (not to mention that it seems like the OP was wondering about dealing with it when already unlocked).
