I have the new iPhone 12 Pro Max. I bought the MagSafe charger and a 20W charging plug. I also have the Apple clear case with the MagSafe magnet design on the back.

When I try to charge the phone in the case with the MagSafe charger, it charges decently fast till it reaches 74% but after that it doesn’t charge beyond that even though the charging symbol is still there. Even if left on charger overnight.

I have the phone battery optimization setting on and the regular slow charger will charge the phone to 100%. The MagSafe is properly aligned when I attempt to charge and the case is on tight. I’ve even tried resetting and turning the phone on and off, as well taking the MagSafe puck on and off but nothing seems to work.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Try turning Battery Optimization off and see if it passes 74%. My 12 PM regularly stops at 80%.

I did already. I’ve reset the phone. Nothing seems to work.

What does the macOS App Coconut Battery tell about your iPhones battery? A screenshot could help determining if there is an issue.
