All of a sudden today, I cannot "wake up" my iphone! I put it on the dock and it still will not respond, no matter what button I push. I can receive calls, but it doesn't ring, I can only tell because it lights up for that. I have tried syncing it and it didn't help. Should I restore through itunes? If I do that, will it wipe out all of my contacts and settings? I am running the latest January update. I have not had any problems with this phone until now!

Help!!

Thanks,
Kan

I cannot even turn it on or off. How do you reboot it?

Thanks,
K

Try holding down the home button and the sleep button (on the top edge) together for several seconds until you see an apple icon on a black background.

Then the phone will reboot and eventually go back to the home screen. Hopefully that fixes it.

Okay, got it!!

I did a search on rebooting and found out to hold down the lock and home buttons for ten seconds. This restarted it and it is working now.

Thanks for your help!!
