Hi guys, just upgraded my iPhone 4 to iOS5 and for some reason when I go to my music it says there is not content on the phone. So I check on itunes after connecting my iPhone in and it tells me I have 9GB worth of music. Fair enough I checked the sync settings and Music is ticked aswell as syncing entire library!

I thought Ill remove the tick sync it, then tick music again and re-sync it but still doesnt work.

Anyone lend a helping hand? Thanks.

Daveman235, I have the same issue. I now have 22GB of "Other" and can not sync. I hope somebody here can help us. I'm wondering if a restore would work but not sure. Guess I will try that when I get home from work and post here if that works.

Have been dealing with the same problem since 10pm last night

Only just got my phone working again

I have ALOT of music on my phone so its took ages to sort out. Firstly it stripped the music off so re synced - at 4am it had finished but a majority of the songs were greyed out and unplayable. Artwork also missing so re synced again and at mid day it had finished!!!!! They are all there but its changed loads of artists names etc so need to do a manual job on Itunes later

Before I came back to work at mid day i re sunced again and it did this fetching artwork thing again for about 280 of the tracks- very random

Sorry should have also said, need to ensure the songs are converted by ticking that 'convert songs from a higher rate ' thing, otherwise you may end up over your memory quota

for me it synced up everything after a restore but the order of every smart playlist is opposite to the one in iTunes (i.e. "recents" displaying the oldest first)

Same for me

This is exactly what is happening for me, except with Apps too.

I restored my phone and the apps will not restore. Perhaps because I did not create a proper restore, so I simply checked one app and hit sync while connected to USB and it went through the sync "prepared apps for sync" then stopped halfway.

I did so may restores from backup because I thought that was the issue, and I don't really want to start anew only because I don't want to lose my text message backup. Any ideas?

Also I have included an attachment of my music preferences. Bear in mind, this is saved and applied, but it simply does not put any of it on the device, wifi or USB.

I have no idea how I did it, but... I had the same problem. Then I restarted my phone and synced it again and it started adding my songs again... Before that I was stuck on "waiting to sync". I checked manually manage music after that and all my songs showed up on my phone... weird. I'm not a fan of this either glitch or confusing feature. Kinda just worked before...
