I got a 13 Pro Max yesterday (yeah, couldn't resist when I saw one locally at the store available).

I usually leave a new phone plugged into power for a day while it downloads 100GB of photos and 80GB of other application data. I noticed it didn't use any battery for the first day? Is that normal? I'm asking cuz I don't usually leave my phone plugged in as I did the 40-80% rule with my 12 Pro Max.

This looks like to me it ran off external power exclusively and didn't touch the battery after charging it despite using it for 6 hours plugged in yesterday?

Thanks!

I'm not sure I follow you. Why would you expect the phone to use the battery if you're plugged into AC power?

Congrats on the new 13 Pro Max! I really like mine. What color and how many GB?

Ah for some reason I thought it always used battery as a pass through even when plugged into the wall (unlike a MacBook that can run 100% off wall power and not charge battery). Was wondering if the iPhone now does that ! :p

I'm a vanilla flavor type of guy - simple - iPhone 13 Pro Max 1TB Graphite.

Like I did with my 12 Pro Max, I plan on keeping this for several years! .......... So.. till next year! <cough>. :)

I'm loving mine too. Photos are noticeably different, macro is night and day, screen refresh is faster - seems flatter and wider, and it's noticeably faster!

Me too, but mine is 256GB. 1TB - wow! I'm jealous.
Dunno if you should be. I don't use it all and probably could have significantly reduced my Apple Card payment plan if I had been smarter like you. lol. :)

But definitely loving the phone! :)
