I have an iPhone 5S and had a little issue with it today (01/09/14).

Yes, I had jailbroken the phone and I was installing the necessary components for iFile (7zip, etc.) but Activator kept saying not to use it while cydia is configuring things, but I kept using it by accident because the command is bound to the finger print sensor on the home button. After 3 messages or so it wouldn't let me click "OK" anymore, so I thought I'd respring my device, but that didn't work out so great. After it started up again it showed on the screen "Connect to iTunes". When I came home I did, I restored the phone with 7.0.4. After the restore finished I noticed starting up the setting application was very slow (it took almost 8-10 seconds to fire up) now with that already worrying me it really annoyed me to see that the wifi option was 'grayed out'. Now that just sucks. I restored it again with exactly the same result.. I restored it a third time with the same result and decided to run the jailbreak setup again. I let it do it's thing, run cydia and make it configure everything nice and neat, but no result.

Anybody who has 'any' idea on what to do? I'm pretty desperate because the phone isn't only slow it also doesn't have Wifi, which is almost worst case scenario.

To anybody with a solution,
Thanks in Advance!

hmm weird that a full restore from itunes caused this...When I had problems, not the same as yours but also reoccurring even after a restore, I restored it thru duf mode. I dont have time to post a link but look into how to restore from DUF. Its easy. my recent problem was crashing into safe mode anytime I updated or installed apps through the app store. For others the tweaks worked flawlessly but for me errors happened even after a itunes restore.Restore through DUF mode helped me. Unless some very in dept errors occurred deep inside the phone,(unlikely assuming you do not have cracked apps) Restore from DUF should help you

Restore it, set up as new, do not restore to backup.
Then re-jailbreak it, and let Cydia open and organize itself.
Keep your hands off it when it is downloading and installing Cydia apps

So I did that, exactly as you said.

- Restore iPhone
- Set up as new phone
- Run Jailbreak tool
- Open cydia (configuring part 1)
/- REBOOT -\
- Open cydia to do a 'complete upgrade'

Everything went solid but there was no effect, I know have a working jailbreak on my device, but I still can't turn my wifi on. (See picture -- https://www.dropbox.com/s/oiow1xsvp44k96m/IMG_0001.PNG)

You can't really see it that well, but the button is grayed out, untouchable.

Thanks for the help so far, but I hope you can help me even more because I'm still stuck with the main problem.

Thanks in advance and thanks for the quick response.

EDIT -- 9:50 AM CET

I was looking into all the settings of my iPhone and I noticed someting a little weird.
It didn't have a WIFI-Address, it just said N/A. I think I still have the original WIFI-Address so maybe it's possible that that is causing the fact that I can't turn wifi on?

I also noticed that my cellular network speed is far from what it used to be, I don't know the exact Down/up - load values but I know for sure that it's not normal.

As I said to any who have a solution to this problem,

Thanks in advance!

if it doesnt work try to restore from duf mode as if the phone was REALLY REALLY messed up. It worked for my more serious issues, doing a recovery in duf will almost for sure fix it if there is a problem

Ok thanks for the response.
I'll be trying a DFU recovery tonight.

I missed the line about the Wifi being dead on my 1st comment.
Do the DFU restore, immediately after doing the restore and activating the phone, check the Wifi.

If it is still buggered up, you will need to do a warranty exchange on the phone.

Just for the record I just checked my 3G download and upload speeds when I had a 5 bars connection with my network and these were the results.

Download (in kb/s): 15.2

Upload (in kb/s): 5.4

Ping: 95

Which is very slow I remember having 10 Mb/s or so for download and 4-5 Mb/s for upload.
