I just got an iPhone to use with Cincinnati Bell wireless. But I put my SIM card in and I have NO service. My other phone would have full reception, and the iphone is getting maybe 1 tiny bar at best.

I live North of Dayton, but still under the CBW network. I got an iPhone 2G from eBay. I put tape under my SIM card (a tip to get better a better connection) which maybe gets me 2 bars...not enough.

I almost got into several weather-related car accidents today, and grabbed my phone to call my husband, and NO BARS...NO SERVICE at all. I was NOT happy. I'm ready to get rid of the darn thing...why isn't it working for me??

There is already a thread on Cincinnati Bell and iPhones. I use Cincinnati Bell with an iPhone 3G and I also have an iPhone 2G. It sounds to me like your iPhone is not currently unlocked. There are directions here on how to do so. If you need any more help on this, email me at benflick@fuse.net. Hope this helps, Ben.
Haha, rough weather we had this morning, took an hour for me to get 2.0 miles to school.

It was actually a faulty iPhone. I got a new one and it is working splendidly! Thanks for your reply!
