iPhone on Cincy Bell - NO SERVICE

I just got an iPhone to use with Cincinnati Bell wireless. But I put my SIM card in and I have NO service. My other phone would have full reception, and the iphone is getting maybe 1 tiny bar at best.

I live North of Dayton, but still under the CBW network. I got an iPhone 2G from eBay. I put tape under my SIM card (a tip to get better a better connection) which maybe gets me 2 bars...not enough.

I almost got into several weather-related car accidents today, and grabbed my phone to call my husband, and NO BARS...NO SERVICE at all. I was NOT happy. I'm ready to get rid of the darn thing...why isn't it working for me??

There is already a thread on Cincinnati Bell and iPhones. I use Cincinnati Bell with an iPhone 3G and I also have an iPhone 2G. It sounds to me like your iPhone is not currently unlocked. It was actually a faulty iPhone. I got a new one and it is working splendidly! Thanks for your reply!
