I’ve been using it the past week and it’s terrible.
The moment I activated it (new number, did not port), it has been non stop robo calls and texts. The visual voicemail has to go through the Google Fi App and doesn’t always transcribes messages. SMS messages were initially flaky but worked themselves out.
I have already canceled it and am using a T-Mobile pre paid sim for the moment. The coverage still sucks, which depletes my battery, but no spam calls or message so far.
Thanks! That's exactly what I wanted to know. My husband just got a new Pixel which came with the option to use Google Fi as the carrier. (Not in addition to another carrier.) I'm all for things Google, so I figured it was worth looking at.
I guess they're not quite there yet.
My friend and his brother are in Florida now, both have Pixel 3's and no issues with Fi, even when they come back to NJ to visit service is fine.
Two places I visit frequently.
Maybe I should just get hubs to get a new line and try it for a month.
