Iphone on Prepaid tmobile card?

i know that i can use a prepaid card on my iphone, but i was wondering what free texting app is out there that does NOT use the data side? are there any? i would love to shave some money off my bill by cancelling my data (im on wifi alot of the time anyway) and texting if i can text for free....

does anyone else do this? or know how it can be done?

I use google voice for all my texting over data. I also use it for international texting. Are you in the USA? There are lots of app in the app store.

Yes i am in the USA. i JUST got google voice. still wondering how it works really.
can you text for free on that?

what i would LOVE to be able to do is cancel my data and Text package. that is why i am looking into a way to text for free without data...
