Well... I was planing to get an iPhone tommorrow but now with the supposed video of the 6G iPod I don't know if I should get it. I'm in a little bit of a dilemma

iPhone. No point waiting for something that may not actually come.

I agree there is no way the next iPod could be better than the iPhone is,
even if the next iPod has a better "iPod" than the iPhone does,
you wont get safari on the next iPod, you wont get maps on the next iPod.

i agree. you shouldn't think of the iphone as a media player. it's a phone. my primary use for it was the phone and internet capability. media player last. if you're looking for a media player for movies and music, get the ipod. even today's 5g ipod will do you fine. if you want a phone that has safari and google maps and email that doubles as a music/movie player, then get it. you won't regret it.
well I could use a new phone. Media options are very important to me but so is youtube and internet and a camera etc. I guess I should just go for it. I only have about 5 gb of music anyway.

For me the iPhone was an easy choice!
I already owned a 4gb 1st gen Nano, 8gb 2nd gen Nano, and a 5.5 80gb iPod Video. I wanted to replace my motoQ with a better phone that combined my phone, iPod, and sync'd with my computer.
Pretty easy choice.
The first requirement was phone though. If the iPhone didn't perform there........well I would have had to look elsewhere.
Sure glad I didn't have to keep looking

Choose the iPhone, even if this 6G iPod does come out, Apple are not going to make it better than the iPhone unless they charge more for it, which I doubt they will get away with.
