Iphone: OS 2.2 to OS 3

I am running ITunes 8.2 (23) on a 2 ghz Intel Core 2 Duo IMac
My IPhone is running OS 2.2 and is an unlocked 3G 16 gig IPhone and everything works great. By the way I am on the Rogers Cell Network (if that matters).

I get lost in all the talk and names thrown around about how to update. I unlocked the phone when I got it but really didn't know what I was doing I just followed the directions and it worked.

Can I update from 2.2 to 3.0 just by clicking the update that comes up in ITunes?

That's right. And ifyou wanna jailbreak you use redsn0w from the Dev Team. The program and all the info you need is on their blog.
But, if you need to unlock your phone you're gonna have to wait awhile since the unlock isn't out yet.
