Thanks but, if you follow your link, you see the statement that says 'not all features...For example multitasking...'. It does not specifically say what works and what does not for the iPhone 3G. For example, on my iPhone 3G, the custom background, the one with the drops, is only shown when unlocking and when the phone is dialling a number, and it only happens randomly.

Actually, the background thing has something to do with the current beta, reports have come out saying that it will be fixed in the next beta.

Do people not research on this forum before asking a question? There's numerous threads/posts on this already.

It's been well documented that some 3G owners running 4.0 beta have seen the screen with "Set As" buttons for Home Screen, Lock Screen, Both but they have either crashed or disappeared.

It's the first beta, it's a bug ... no-one, not MacRumors, not Gizmondo, not anyone here officially knows what 4.0 will and will not do (apart from multi-tasking) on the iPhone 3G.

It's wrong about the wallpaper. It's only a bug that isn't allowing iPhone 3G/iPod Touch 2nd gen owners to set home screen wallpapers.
