I couldnt do anything but after i woke up from surgery my mom told me the phone was burning hot then randomly cooled... the phones battery died i recharged it but now it wont get detected by itunes and its stuck in recovery, what should i do? how should i get itunes to detect and restore

iPhone 3G 16gb
thanks

Rich ... its been over a year im not going to pay 200- 300 dollars for a refurbished one.. ill just go buy a brand new one if thats the case...

and yeah i tried still wont get detected !
Help?

It would be $199 for a refurb. So if you can renew your contract and get a new one for $199, then go for it.

so theres no other way to fix it?
guys come on , this is the macrumors community , can someone figure somethiing out?

again the problem is phone is stuck in recovery mode and wont be detected by itunes , im running mac but also can use PC if necessary....

what should i do to make it get detected , DFU mode didnt seem to help ... thanks for all feedback so far

You could try iRecovery but I am doubtful.

I think your knee surgery killed your iphone.

Send that into House and maybe they will pay you some money and you can buy a new one.
