Iphone overseas

Well hello there, today I decided to register on this site, been reading iphone news here the last couple of days and it has kept me wel informed. Anyways I'm from Aruba and like to know which of the 2 choices I should make. Since eventually the iphone will be unlocked , Should I buy it now and wait till they post a crack tool, or buy it at an online store already unlocked when that becomes availible .

I would wait to at least see if someone does figure out how to unlock it first. You don't want to spend $600 to later find out that it isn't possible or is to hard for you to do yourself.
 
I know, well the foreign hype is still here :) how can we resist such a wonderfull device.
 
The iPhone isn't like the Wii, where you could go months and months without being able to get one. Apple has manufactured enough iPhones to keep up with demand, so if you order one now you'll get it in a few weeks, and if you order one in a month you'll likely get it a few weeks after you order it. So there's no need to rush to order one until you're more certain you'll be able to use it.

I gues your right on the waiting. I read somewhere that u can crack it and use it as an ipod and wifi device. has anybody confirmed this method ?
