I have a couple of very confusing problems. The first and more frustrating is that I have 48 photos in my photo cache on my computer (Windows Vista, and no I'm not proud to say it). However, I have only 18 photos in my iPhone after sync. There is no pattern, it seems to select fairly random photos. Any ideas?
Also, I have been using Handbrake to upload my already purchased DVDs, it works great. However, I have DVDs that I made myself of home videos and such that I would like to upload. I go through the same process, Handbrake creates the exact same type of video file, and upon importing into iTunes, the import window simply goes away and nothing happens. No error message or anything, just chooses not to take the file. Help!

Thanks

As for your first problem, are all your pics taken from your iphone camera, or did are you using pics that were already on your computer? Anyway just make sure all your pics have the ".jpg" file extension. That used to be a problem i had, some of my pics had the ".gif" extension and would not load. Check it out... The DVD problem can't help you there buddy, sorry!!!

Newbie needs help with importing

I am completely new to iTunes and my iPhone which I have only had for 3 days.

My goal here was to be able to take some quicktime videos on my PC and be able to watch them on my iPhone. Seems like the iTunes user interface is confusing as all get out. It will let me add video to the library, but nothing sync'ing with the phone. I try to add video to a new playlist but that doesn't seem to work either.

Reading the online instruction manual, something they forgot to give you with the phone, it talks about being able to import your CD's, but it seems to deliberately leave out importing video.

This seems like a far cry from an MP3 player where you can just copy files to the device.

I am wondering if I have to "jailbreak" the phone to copy what I want to it.

I notice that sync'ing pictures and contacts with gmail seem to be one way - iTunes doesn't automatically sync the pictures and contacts back.

Best wishes,
