Keep an eye on my thread from yesterday here just in case either one of us gets an answer to this. Since nobody's piped up yet, I assume not.
If you've jailbreaked your iphone, you could theoretically put a higher-res file on it by just doing a file transfer through terminal. However, that's a pain in the butt even if you've jailbreaked, which may not be the case.
