iPhone pictures look HORRIBLE from windows

Has anyone else noticed that pictures taken with an iPhone look bad from within windows? I sent a picture to my friend, and he said it looked really bad. I then checked my copy and it was fine in iPhoto. Sure enough next time I was in boot camp, the quality of that picture was just as bad as he explained.

My 3GS pictures and videos look fine in Windows. In fact they look the same in Windows 7 & XP as they do on my MBP in Snow Leopard.

you might be making them smaller for email.

Right, if you 'send to email' it shrinks them.

If you use the share button to copy the photo and then paste it in the email it comes through full sized.
