iphone plans T-mobile

I hacked my iPhone last week. I have both ATT and Tmobile service so I can offer perspective on both service.
The Tzones hack is "technically illegal" to use on the iPhones. But than again, unlocking the iPhone to use on Tmobile isn't correct either so you can end up with your own conclusion.
I unlocked my iPhone with ZiPhone 2.5. There's the installer program that contains the link to install the Tzones hack. Just reboot the phone and you are good to go with Tzones. Just call up tmobile customer prior to installing the tzones hack. It works just as well as the regular tmobile total internet. The only thing that does not work is YouTube but I never use youtube via EDGE because the quality is horrible.
Don't forgot that with the Tmobile Total Internet you get free access to Tmobile HotSpots so that should play into your decision if you frequent those hotspots.
the plan gives unlimited internet access since t-mobile does not charge per KB. Youtube, although it's a bit slow, works over edge for me (running 1.1.3 firmware).
if you are looking for an individual plan and aren't heavy with phone usage 600 mins/ unlimited night+weekend for 39.99 seems good. but you can browse through the plans on their website. and then go with the 5.99 tmobile web, and if you text often, you can get 4.99 plan with 400 sms and mms, or 9.99 for 1000, and 19.99 for unlimited.

Everyone I have talked with at T-Mo- and that is over 10 people at various stores and tech support- have NEVER said there was any problem, either on their system or what I was allowed to do. And I have asked repeatedly. A couple people wondered whether it would work, but NO ONE has ever said I could not use it, or that it was "illegal."
A HOT Spot is a place with a T-Mobile Specific WiFi network. If you subscribe to that service, you get free WiFi at that location. You can also get it per day, I think it is something like 6.99 a day or so (but don't quote me on that).
Starbucks are generally T-Mo Hot Spot locations. I hear that ATT is moving in on that, not sure if they will REPLACE T-Mo, or BOTH be there in the future.
I am wondering if it is possible to ONLY get T-mobile "Total Internet" without a voice plan. I don't want to use my future iphone as a phone (but would like to have the EDGE/3G internet connection capability). So I want to basically buy a SIM card without a voice plan and just have an unlimited data plan, to save some money.
Is this possible with t-mobile or any other USA carrier? Thanks

Ok, so if I wanted to get unlimited 2G on my iphone, I'd call T-Mobile and ask them about the 5.99 unlimited tzones? And then just download the tzones hack off cydia? I'm jailbroken on 2.2 by the way.
