Just wondering, but for some reason the battery life on my iPhone does not seem to come close to the advertised life.

I got my phone two days ago and after a full nights charge the first day I was down to half the battery life by midday the next after light-moderate use.

My question is do you think I could get apple to replace it with a new one? and if so what is the best way to go about doing so? Call the apple store I bought it from?

My iPhone was the same way. The first charge was horrible. My phone seemed to get A LOT better battery life after about the 3rd charge. I am on my 5th charging cycle and I used the phone for about 6 hrs yesterday, I currently have 26hrs of stand by and I still have about 60% on the battery.

my battery is almost dead even after i have it on standby for tbhe entire day with only one or 2 calls and i used the internet maybe twice.

i have no apple store nearby .. could i just exchange it at the at&t store for a new one and just pay the restocking fee?

Make sure you follow some of the tips given on here.

If you work in an area with several wifi networks, turn it off if you aren't using it.

It can drain your battery very easily.

I have turned mine off when not using and saved a good bit of battery.

Also, dim down your brightness and that can save some battery as well.

I thought wifi gave better battery life? Didn't they say you get something like 9 hours of browsing on wifi vs. a lesser value on 3g?

For data usage WIFI = 9hrs, 3G = 5hrs

But that's assuming your comparing WIFI (in airplane mode) vs 3G

If you turn on WIFI with 3G cellular service you are essentially draining the battery faster than with 3G on only.
