iPhone pre-orders today

I could be wrong, but the American apple store is down, not any of the others. For a product release (recent mbp upgrades), all stores are shut down. I think this could be the day it is able to be pre-ordered. If it was a product available all over, all stores would've shut down. Just my 2 cents.

I dont think it's any new hardware...just updating the look and feel of the store and apple.com itself.
