So basically the new iPhone XS Max prices here are just ridiculous!

The cheapest option here (64GB) is more expensive than the 512GB in US!

I was going to pre-order the phone, but not anymore.
This is not fair at all.

£999 for the Xs 64GB in the UK - that's €1122. Can you nip to Belfast to buy it?

The prices i provided in comparison are for the XS Max in Ireland vs US.

Like i said, the 64GB here is more expensive than the 512GB in the US.

Free and easy money towards a new phone. Turn your frown upside down chap.

Well, do that yourself ;-)
The issue is not the money, is the stupid price difference between US and EU, which makes no sense. (Same as your posts btw)
For the price here, i rather go 1 week holiday to US and buy it there.

You could always wait and buy 2nd hand after January.. Deals are always out there, you just have to hunt for them which is definitely a pain in the rear.

I never purchased 2nd hand devices, i rather pay a bit more and get it new. I'm too OCD to buy something used.
My point was that the pricing between EU and US are ridiculous.

Yes, but US prices do not include sales tax - that's around 10% in New York for example. European VAT is more which partly explains the higher price. If you add the UK's 20% VAT onto the Xs US price (£844.56) you get to £1013.47 - it's actually going to cost £999 here or £929 in New York with their sales tax. You do the maths on the Irish price for the Xs Max

You could indeed. There are five states with no sales tax - New Hampshire is the closest to Europe and has an Apple Store. People who do that mail the empty boxes back home and take the phone through customs in their hand luggage.
