iPod iPhone purchase...transfer back to computer

Hi there. I was on vacation recently and made a purchase via iTunes on my iPhone (over 3G). Yet, when I went to plug it into my computer, the songs did not download to my iTunes library. I have tried "Check for downloads" and everything and there does not seem to be a way to get them onto my MacBook Air. I have not plugged my iPhone into any other computer since downloading the songs and I manually do my music rather than sync.

Any suggestions?

Can't you click on the iPhone on the left in iTunes, find the song(s) and drag them to your library?

I don't think that is ever possible. Isn't it a one-way street type connection (especially from iTunes)? I can select them and drag them, but it won't let me transfer them.

You can always use Senuti to transfer them, if that doesn't work.

Transfer purchases from the File menu works for iPods, any reason it doesn't with an iPhone?
