iPhone reading text message confirmations

got a X last week and had to redo adding credit and debit cards to Wallet. When I got to he getting sent a text message to confirm account details the code from the text got entered into the box and I didn’t have to type it in myself. When did that happen?

Been like that since iOS 10 at least.

Was a first for me, don’t recall hearing about such a thing either.
