After applying the AppleTV update and the manual 2.0 install for my iPhone, I've spent some time with the remote application and the AppleTV. Bottom line: it allows you to access all of the content on your iTunes / AppleTV account, i.e., I'm able to access all of my movies, TV shows, podcasts, and music, select them, and then control them with the iPhone.

That said, I have had two instances where the AppleTV has glitched out, resulting in the Apple and a reboot.

Before using the remote, I've never had a reboot with my AppleTV, so I'm guessing some small bugs need to be squashed.

All in all, a really nice free app that will be especially useful when I can't find the small remote or, better yet, when I'm upstairs and my kids come to me asking me to put on a kid's show, which I'll be able to do remotely!

Snarky comment. Was trying to provide some feedback on my early experiences with it.

He said "How could you not miss this thread".
In other words, he's not surprised you missed it! :D
If you're gonna be "snarky" at least try to say what you mean northy.

To the OP, I've played with the remote app pretty extensively, and haven't encountered any crashes on my AppleTV. I'm sure there will be updates to the Remote app in any event.

Ah Sarcasm yes I'm from Britain we like Sarcasm here:D. Nah but seriously there was another thread for the same thing oh well at least you had a good time with it.
