Is it possible to do a restart just to clear out the memory on an iPhone 6+, or do you just have to cut it off ?

I like to restart my phone every 3-4 days or so to clear out cashed memory and reload the system.
What do you mean cut it off?
I turn the phone off by slide to power off. And then turn it back on.
OK, that's it. The Galaxy S4 I just switched from had a Restart and a Power Off option similar to a laptop. Didn't know if iPhone had that option.

HOWEVER !! If you know a work-around for iTunes I'd love to hear it. I wish I could just email an mp3 to myself and save it. The Droids allow you to connect to a laptop and treat it like a flash drive moving tunes, pics ... I had iPhones for years then switched to S4 for the bigger screen but now back to iPhone. About the only thing I don't like is having to deal with iTunes. I read something about iMesh but sounded like a whole lot of trouble.

If you jb there is options to move and copy your stuff without iTunes.
Or be able to sync with multiple iTunes libraries. Download music and put it in your library without sync etc.

I don't know. I kinda hate to screw up a brand new phone.
Its not possible to screw it up permanently.
You can always restore it back to stock iOS with iTunes and it will be back to normal.
But you need to do lots of research and know what you're doing with cydia hacks. That's why I said its not for everyone.
