Hi.

I cant get into my iphone, I changed the PW last night and woke up this morning completely blank. Ive been trying all day. Its jailbroken on ios 6.1

Ive tried opening Itunes, Holding shift and pressing restore then selecting my IPSW for 6.1 (This gives an error after trying to verify with apple)

Ive tried using redsnow latest build (unsure if im trying right options with this) but i try to restore from my IPSW and it gives error saying its not in dfu mode (but it is when it starts) its fails on something like "uploading btss".

I really need help, I cant get into my iphone and want it back :/ can anyone suggest anything I can do to remove this bloody password please?

Doing a restore to 6.1.3 is out of the question because then I will not be able to jail break :/

As it was jailbroken Cydia should have saved the SHSH/blobs.

Download 6.0 IPSW and 6.1 IPSW
In redsn0w go to extras/select IPSW and select the 6.0 IPSW

Now go to extras/even more/restore select the 6.1 IPSW and follow instruction, select remote blobs, if you need to preserve your BB to unlock select yes if asked

The ip4 should now restore to 6.1
Jailbreak with evasi0n.

Hi followed this. It starts the process and is on "uploading Ibss" and sometimes "uploading IBEC" it then says failed to detect recovery mode. (it asked me to put it in DFU mode and will not work when on Recovery mode). Can you advise?

Recovery and DFU are different modes, DFU the phone screen is black not showing anything.

To properly go in to DFU:
Connect USB
Hold home and power until phone turns off
Keep holding both for another 3 seconds
Now release power while holding home for another 10 seconds.
Phone should bevin DFU now

Yes its in DFU and still giving this error asking for recovery mode even after the process has started. (It would not start without being in DFU)

Ive tried your steps atleast 10times now. still not working. I select 6.0, then go to restore and select 6.1 and it gives this error.

It starts this process in DFU. then when the error comes up asking for recovery it is no longer in DFU mode. So does this mean the software is failing to put my iphone in recovery mode?

So put it in recovery, hold home and power until you see connect to itunes screen

You cant then put it in recovery mode. The error box only has the text "failed to detect recovery mode on device" and then I press "Ok" (the only option). It does not say please put it in recovery mode and when ive tried to put it in recovery the process does not continue

Instruction here, pwned-DFU is needed, follow instruction to the letter including sliding the phone off

Link missing?

The steps you posted do not work for Iphone that is currently on 6.1. They give this error

Apple are still signing iOS 4.1 so you could try restoring to that through iTunes, but that might only work for the iPhone 3GS.
