iPhone ringer switch broke.. will they replace it you think?

Tonight i was leaving an exam and switched my phone back to ringer and it broke right off.. i still have the piece..

Completely random, and really upsetting because my phone is babied and in excellent condition..

it's has no scratches and i've had it since july11th..

Anyways, I scheduled a genius appt. for tommarow morning but do you think they will replace it? I'm just hoping they dont try and say I did it because thats ridiculous.

Ringer switch.....

The same happened to mine in September - got an appointment with the genius and they replaced the phone - remember to make a backup before you go in. It took all of ten minutes to be completed.

Yeah, they're usually pretty cool. If the phone is pristine, it shows that it has been taken care of. And since hardware defects (like switches that randomly break) are covered under warranty, you'll be fine.

Remember to ask them for a brand new (no refurb) iPhone.
