Iphone rings but wont play music

Whats up MR members. I have had my iphone for 6 months and all of the sudden my ipod feature wont work and the keyboard clicks also dont work. But it will ring it just wont play music. I have done a hard reset and a restore and still no sound for anything other than the ringer. Any ideas on what i can do? it also pops up asking me if i want to put it in airplane mode. it all started after i upgraded to 2.0. Any help would be appreciated.

Did this by any chance happen AFTER unplugging headphones?
 
i have been having problems with my headphones. it wont even play in my car through my audio input jack. have you heard of this before? if you could help i would greatly appreciate it.
