Does any one else simply love this thing??

I think it is fairly safe to say that anyone posting/reading this section of the forums loves their iPhone. At least anyone who owns one and is posting/reading in this section of the forums.

I love it enough to put up with att. Darn dropped calls. 3 dead spots on a short drive to work. Arg. Never had that with vz.

Wirelessly posted (Apple Communication Device: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU like Mac OS X; en) AppleWebKit/420+ (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.0 Mobile/1C25 Safari/419.3)

iPhone I have to tell you a secret, you're still awesome.

I can't tell because most posts have been negative, which is why I stopped coming. But I love my iPhone. My disappointments are few, and I understand it's a 1st gen anyway.

Don't fix it if it isn't broken. In other words, you don't have much business here if your stuff is working flawless.

Wasn't there a USA Today poll that rated the iPhone the highest in customer satisfaction?

I will love it when they fix Safari when it stops freakin' crashing on every third page I visit. That's not an exaggeration, either, it really is THAT unstable. If it were a desktop app, I wouldn't even designate it as a beta version (it still lacks some very important features, too, like a password manager, downloading, and the ability to filter images, among other things). I have a number of minor gripes (most of which I am sure Apple is aware of and will fix with software updates), but overall it is awesome.

I love the thing. Thats not to say there are some things i think its lacking, and wish very much that they would add, but overall, the phone is beatiful. Its capabilities are beautiful. Im not too fond of the hole Web 2.0 app thing, among others, but i still love this phone more than any other out there on the market right now, even with some of its lacking features.

For the record...my Safari does not crash - ever. I have multiple pages open (usually by accident) and it's never crashed - before the update and after the update.

I've posted as much in another thread and someone called me a liar.

There seems to be a wide range of user experience. I'm not sure why, but for those that have trouble...they have plenty. Others...not so much. And me...well, I must be covered in Safari Angel Dust.

The forums are not only for those with gripes. Some share information. Some have great stories. Some have questions.
And my personal favorites - Posters with intelligence and wit - just for the pleasure of reading something entertaining or thought-provoking.

Out of curiosity, how much free space do you have left? I had this issue as well but considered a lack of free space to be the culprit. So, I back off of my filled-to-the-brim approach and leave a couple of hundred megs free. Ever since, the problem has gone away.

I hope this helps.

LOL - I have about 2/3 left (trying to recall the bar). At least 4 gigs free.

Interesting potential culprit. I've also thought that a hacked phone might cause instability here and there.

And in answer to this thread's subject - I absolutely, unequivocally love my phone. No issues, no gripes. I still kiss it and whisper sweet nothings in it's mouth at least once a day.

I have over 3.5 GB free and it's crashy crashy crashy, so that's not it. It does seem to crash more on EDGE than on WiFi, although that might just be because it has more time to work on it between data packets. It's all sorts of websites too, not just weird, complicated ones. MacRumors crashes quite often, actually, and it's a pretty clean, simple site. It really is unacceptable in its current form, but no doubt Apple is working on the bugs as we speak.

No doubt, I'll give Apple credit for that much too.

This phone rocks, no question. Love, love, love it. I think most of what I am interested in is the first real software update and how that answers ringtones, native applications and such. I don't expect heaven and earth but if they could increase the volume, add ichat and where is the sdk?
