The only public estimate Apple has given speaks of how many units they expect to sell before the end of 2008. However, Apple is also known for comparing their sales figures to competitors and flaunting their successes. When do you think Apple will announce sales figures for the iPhone?

Personally, I'm expecting 48 hours sales figures, but I think it would be kind of funny if Apple announced that the iPhone sold more units on Day 1 than the Zune has sold since its launch. :p (And yes, I realize the iPhone and Zune aren't in exactly the same market)
