Just 3% of U.S. iPhone Sales in March Quarter Were iPhone 13 Mini Models
Looking at the chart I see interesting things. Like how in 2020 the 2018 XR outsold the 11 Pro & Max and as much as them combined. Plus in 2022 still sells well despite no longer being officially available. So much for "It sUcKs 'cAuSe iT's nOt a 1080p sCrEeN bRuH"
Or how about the LCD 11 beating the OLED 12 when supposedly the all new flat edge design & fancy screen had more "appeal". In fact in comparison with the 11 & 13 in their first March quarters the 12's share is barely more than half. You gotta be crosseyed to not see that's the model that's really performed worst in recent years.
Contrarily the 12 Max did better than the 13 Max. Funny 'cause I keep hearing how cameras are such a big selling point and the 13 Pro/Max had a huge BUMP (upgrade) over the 12 Pro/Max. Considering the 14 Pro/Max will have all new modules the money spent on the 13 Pro/Max upgrades was a waste. It didn't translate to a better return of such investment. I'm sure those who take pics of sunsets & their lunch who insist on doing it with tHe lAtesT & gReAtEsT will groan, but the camera could've stayed the same, the figures would be the same and the profit margin would've been better.
Lastly the 12 Mini was also "jUsT 3%" and along with the 13 Mini that's 6% NOT from the market share but an INCREASE of it. Most of that was folks coming from a 4.7" 6S, 7, 8 & even an original 4" SE. Overall phone sales are down in 2022, but Apple's went up. Considering most of the other models were steady, who thinks the Mini wasn't a part of that boost in total sales?
I like to think Apple doesn't interpret statistics with same hysteria & sensationalism tech media does.
