everything started last night when i was out of battery.. and i put it on the fm transmitter on the car but it wasnt charging so i left with no phone .. i went home and put iphone on the charger and i waited and waited but nothing happened so i slept..when i woke up this morning the iphone was very much heated and i think everything is working except from the.. screen!! i can call it and answer it (by blindly touching the answer button) and the speakers work as well.. the screen is still dead! whether i restart it or try to put it to recovery mode.. nothing works.. restore failed through itunes cuz it says about having an unexpected error while trying to put to recovery mode

im desparate!
thanks in advance

edit: im on 1.1.3 (1.0.2 OTB) and unlocked with ziphone

i've heard some FM transmitters can fry ipods/iphones.. most likely your phone has been fried.. i'd call applecare, or take it to an apple store..

you cant take it to an apple store as youve unlocked it etc

youll have to buy a new one/get it repaired somewhere other than apple if you want it to work

but now the iphone is not operating at all!! it might be something else that has caused the screen to flicker and eventually go off.. any ideas?
