When I'm speaking on my iphone(Unlocked 1.1) the display use to go dark when held to my ear. It no longer does that. Does any one know why and how I can fix it?
Thanks

Having the same problem with my unlocked 3G, worse: the screen gets sensitive and enables, mute and/or speakers with the touch of my ear. Haven´t seen this problem around.... did you solve yours?

It's your case! On the top left corner of the iphone there are dimming sensors that are embedded under the glass. If you hold your phone from a certain angle you can see the infrared sensors. These sensors need to stay uncovered. If your case is designed in a way that covers those sensor, the iphone will not power off the screen when you hold the phone next to your ear. Hope that helped.
