iPhone screen will not automatically sleep?

Usually, after using the iphone, it will automatically go to sleep after 30 seconds.

Now I have to put it to sleep manually.

Can anyone please help?

Have you tried any trouble shooting steps prior to making this thread?

- Restart phone?
- Check Display settings and/or settings in general?

I had the same issue. Gave it a reboot and seems to be ok now. Most likely a bug in ios 18.

I have to manually put the display to sleep, by clicking on the side button.

This never did this, when I first got the phone, so I’m assuming it’s a software bug.

Does anyone else have this issue?

I haven't noticed this on my 16 Pro Max but my 13 Pro Max was doing this shortly before I upgraded. I'd go over to it 10 minutes after putting it down and the screen would still be on the home page bizarrely. I assumed it was a software bug.
