Hello,
I am new to this forum so I hope I am in the right place to get some help with my iPhone.

Last night I went to use my iPhone and the screen would not turn on. I tried pressing the Home button and the lock/unlock/reboot button on the top of the phone and nothing would work. The phone itself seems to be working, I can receive calls, but I have no way of seeing what is being displayed or interacting with the phone. I tried hooking it up to iTunes to try restoring it, but I have a password on the phone so iTunes will not connect. :(

The only other tidbit I have is that the first time this happened, I plugged it into a wall power source and that seemed to get the screen to come on. That only worked once, and has not been able to help since. The only thing the phone does now when I plug it in is vibrate to let me know that it is receiving a charge.

Thanks for any help that you can offer,

mark

They will be able to fix it at an Apple Store but try to take the passcode off when you connect to the wall. Then iTunes will be able to restore the phone. You should be able to restore in iTunes even with a passcode on. Apple designed it this way so if you forgot your passcode, you could restore and set a new one or have none at all. Also try a hard reset by holding down the sleep/wake button and home button for about 10 seconds. If the hard reset was successful, the Apple logo should come on and your iPhone should boot up.
