I got my iPhone 3GS white yesterday and yes, even I noticed the same difference. The screen on 3GS felt pale when compared to 3G. The 3G obviously felt stronger and showed better colour contrast..
Dont know if this is a fault!!! Any comments from the experts on this forum???

I have two iPhone 3GS and a 3G.
My 3GS, that I got on launch day looks as good as the 3G, I thought everyone was crazy talking about it looking washed out.
Just yesterday, I upgraded the 3G to a 3GS for my girlfriend. Everything looks yellow and washed out compared to my 3GS, and the 3G. I see it now.
Go figure.
Mine a a black 32GB, and the 3G is an 8GB.
Her 3GS is white 16GB.
