Need I say more? GO GET IT!

"Beta release 6 requires the Leopard 10.5.3 software update and is incompatible with
other OS releases and pre-release software. This release fixes many bugs and add
support for the latest iPhone OS. "

Interesting that you need 10.5.3 for beta 6 to work. I wonder what they have done that requires that?

Maybe there are some performance fixes that make the Xcode 3.1 work better. I have heard of crashing when doing certain actions in code. Maybe part of 10.3 corrects this.

I know that Xcode 3.1 seems to work faster and smoother for me now.

Upgrading to 10.5.3 will stop the codesign working for device testing if you keep Beta 5.

I was wondering when they were gonna release this.

Edit:
Those bastards...I want the damn glass buttons back already. :(

I just noticed the updated sample applications on the iPhone dev site! Some of them look really good. Yay!

I'm not sure I like this new method of code signing - seems a bit laborious to me. I guess we'll have to keep a generic 'temporary' provisioning profile around for those little 'test' apps, and create additional profiles when we create proper projects that we hope to release.

IMHO, it would be better if the development version of the OS (which only runs on ADC registered iPhones) could run unsigned code, and that we only had to sign code before we uploaded it to the App Store.

Some of those examples look brilliant though - just what I need now I've pretty much got the basics sorted.

Yeah, I know. I got one of the "The decision was made to remove..." responses to my bug report as well. Just wishful thinking, so I didn't have to be so hackish by getting the glass button graphics I need from Beta 3. All they really did was make the glass buttons much harder to use - they didn't remove anything. ;)

Oh, I totally agree. It's not like we don't know how to use image editors. People are going to use glass buttons whether Apple likes it or not, which is why it's weird they would remove them after already putting them out there. It irks me even though my app doesn't use glass buttons.

But then again, it's Apple. It's not really out of character for them to do something like this.
