iOS iPhone SDK Retrieving Carrier and Network Signal?

Is there a wa to retrieve the network signal? Like how many bars you have?
And is there a way to return the phone's carrier (like ATT, Orange, etc)?

Not publicly.

You could guess the carrier by using NSLocale to find the country. But for countries that have multiple carries that won't work.

Ok... thats fine. But the more important item is cell phone reception... Is there a way to get the number of bars?
