I have 2 comments/questions about snow leopard iphone SDK

1. I noticed its 1.46 GB instead of 2.46 on leopard. How could they do this?

2. Is the iPhone SDK (or Xcode in general) running in 64 bit? I assume that would make build times and general loading much faster.

i dont have SL, but im downloading the iphone sdk now because i wouldnt wanna waste the time later.

No, actually, it's because on Leopard you have to update XCode and other developer components, but Snow Leopard's developer tools are already "iPhone SDK" aware.

it's because there aren't included all the older SDK's....
the iPhone SDK 3.0 (Snow Leopard) is at this time made for the WWDC Snow Leopard Seed... you should wait until it comes the retail!

So when I install SL, i will have to re-download and re-install the entire SDK? I can't just use the current one that I have for leopard? Will updating mess anything up?

You will have to install XCode 3.2, which I assume will be on the Snow Leopard disc.

As I noted above, the Leopard version installs a version of XCode and other developer tools (which is why it's bigger, according to engineers at Apple; this question came up before.)

Anyway, I wouldn't install the Leopard one, since you might have overwrite stuff with an older version!
