Worth updating 12.4.1 -> 13.4 on iPhone SE?
- Battery life better or worser?
- Interface more clumsy, or better?

If you are happy with iOS 12, I would just stick with it. If there is something on iOS 13 that you want or need, then it is probably okay to upgrade to it.

Most of the bugs in iOS 13 on my SE seemed to have been fixed, but not all of them. There also seems to be a slight lag sometimes.

Battery life is probably similar, except I recently got an AW, and the battery life on my SE has been horrible since the purchase of an AW. I am unsure if this is an iOS 13 issue, or just having an AW issue.

Apple Watch should not affect battery so much. Horrible was pre-13.4 version(s) of 13.x branch, look at nearby topics where people complaining about battery life. I expect better battery life from 13.4 and the interface should be more smooth than 12.4.1 or I do not see a necessity to upgrade. That's why I asked people's experience with the new version which released recently. I remember very good when Apple killed iPhone 4S by releasing an OS version which kills battery life and performance, so I always avoid to upgrade any hardware from Apple until someone tests it, too much bugs and "planned obsolescence" issues.

I can't speak for other people's experience, but the I noticed a huge difference in battery life on my SE as soon as I started using an S3 AW.

My daily commute with my iPhone connected to wired CarPlay used to be enough to keep my iPhone charged.

I do not use my iPhone SE that often, so I rarely ever had to deliberately charged it until I started using an AW. Now, I have to charge it at home once a day.

The only change was getting the AW, so I am just making the assumption that the AW is the reason for the drain.
